The Annual Elko Garden Club Tour was held June 22 around Elko.
189 West Ash: Daniel Broockmann & Jackie Lucero; Front yard is a mix of veggies, fruit trees and herbs. The Little Free Library is a great way to meet neighbors. Beautiful example of permaculture gardening!
3108 Midland: Jay & Cindy Elquist; This mature yard has changed as the children have grown, from swing sets to lovely seating areas and a horseshoe pit.

1227 Hannah: David & Gerrie Kath; The backyard has a great mix of trees, veggies and flowers – we’ll see 1st hand the effects of late frost and heavy rains, as the Kaths regain their garden design.

1274 Fairway: Brooke Matthews; This yard says “living in the mountains!” Trees, shrubs, perennials and grass are all easy care.

1301 Parkview: Bob & Chris Burrows; What started as a replacement wall to match the existing block wall became an expensive lesson: engineered design, drawings and inspections were required. Lovely plantings along the roadways, too.

1726 Sagebrush: Rich & Shari Temoke; Where there is a will there is a way! The naturalized pond has large boulders; the fire pit is a cauldron; the benches are from the Carlin Tunnel – it’s upcycling as a way of life in a relaxed setting.
